Spring sprang!

So, just an update: I didn't end up training for the half-marathon. I was on a training schedule, had all the best intentions, then WHAM!!! and spring term hit me in the least stressful but most busy semester (or term) of my life.

But, I have had plenty of fun along the way...
Like Vegas!!!
I went to Las Vegas with 9 other people in my ward and it ended up being a blast! We went to a chocolate factory, a cactus garden, the Mormon Fort, and the strip. Yes, the strip was a DISGUSTING "cesspool of iniquity" to quote one of my fellow travelers, full of people with sad, twisted lives... it was rather pathetic. So, after experiencing the strip on a Saturday night, we escaped with our lives and a cloud of marijuana smoke. Yuck. So much lost potential, so many "silly women"... It made me very grateful for the life I have and for the strong people I have the privilege to call friends. One bright note of that trip was the "tastes from around the world," a sampler of Coca-Cola products from around the world. The tastes varied from delicious to decent to absolutely disgusting.

Tad drinking Beverly, the..... best soda ever. Yum.

As a juxtaposition, we visited the Las Vegas Temple on Sunday, having a picnic outside the chapel next to it, and had other adventures and very little sleep over the weekend.

The crew (from left to right, back to front): Carlee, Greg, Sara, Parker, Erin, Rachel, Kevin, Tad, and Tyler
On the whole, it was an awesome trip with awesome people. Also, I was introduced to the most obnoxious, yet funny road game... "Hey COW!!!!"

So, I apologize to any cows or farmers I may have offended.
